In the summer of 1982 Jim Trees purchased
over 2,000 acres of unimproved land along the East Fork of the Virgin
River. As a conservationist, Mr. Trees envisioned a working community,
minimal in development, to support an organic produce farm.
Leaving the majority of land untouched, Jim began planning
an environmentally-conscience approach to organic farming. The result
is an ecologically-rich working ranch; reflective of the lands history,
the early settlers, and environmental conditions. Thus the Springdale
Fruit Company, at Trees Ranch was born.

Almost a utopian place, the Springdale Fruit Company offers hope for
the future. As a model ranch, fonded upon the prospect of a natural,
beautiful, and simplicity, the Springdale Fruit Company strives to be
self-sustaining.

Today, Springdale Fruit Company thrives as an organic grower of tree-ripened
fruit and vine-ready produce, and operates a complimentary retail
market.
