Springdale Fruit Company - Apple blossom with bee polinating

The Orchard

Grown in our beautiful canyon along the Virgin River, surrounding Zion National Park, our organic fruit is enriched by warm sunlight, clear skies, cool nights, and a long 230-day growing season. Kept on our trees to fully ripen, our apples are widely acclaimed for their rich and succulent flavor.

Our apple trees are grown with an M-7 rootstock which produces a semi-dwarf tree.  The trees will not get much larger than the trees you now can see around the fruit market.  The trees will, however, continue producing a wide, dense canopy of leaves to help cool the soil and conserve water.

Each spring brings a beauty like no other; the apple blossom. Indigenous Honeybees, and sometimes Orchard Mason Bees, work to cross pollinate the flowers to develop the fruit. Mexican Freetail bats naturally control the pests, avoiding the use of harsh chemical pesticides.

Weather permitting, we are harvesting succulent organic fuji and gala apples beginning late early August, concluding early November.

In addition to finding these products at our retail market, you can taste the Springdale Fruit Company freshness at local restaurants, and during season they can be found at the Springdale Farmers Market.

The Springdale Farmer's Market is held on Saturdays only
from 9 a.m to 11:30 a.m.
June through October at the Bit and Spur Restaurant.)

For over a millennium, our canyon of fertile, virgin soils and abundant, pristine water has been farmed organically by the Anasazi, the Piute, the Mormon settlers, and for over 25 years by our family. We grow our healthy, ripe, certified organic fruit, and proudly offer it to you for your health and enjoyment.

The Garden

Similar to our orchard, the garden has never been exposed to chemical fertilizers, or pesticides. Keeping with the tradition of growing healthful produce, our garden generates food that is delicious in flavor.

We nurture, from seed and organic starter plant, a variety of flowers, vegetables, and  herbs.
